i posed the question "what is your favorite jazz song?" to an online community once, and some told me that jazz is too broad to narrow it down to just one song. some questioned my jazz knowledge, etc. *shrugs*. i'm no expert, but i've heard enough jazz to know what i like. and this, my friend, is it. can't even explain why this song just moves me, but there is something about the melody and overall groove that makes it hard for me to not listen to the entire thing everytime i hear it. i'm not sure how it is in YOUR city, but this song is a staple in Detroit jazz clubs...and for good reason. it's classic.
